Shiny things that go 'vrrooooooom'

A couple of weeks ago us and it seemed like the whole of Europe went to Geneva for the 82nd International Motor Show. We decided to drive since it was unfortunately much cheaper to do so than catch the train. In hindsight, it would have been better to pay the extra money to catch the train. The traffic was horrible, the parking was difficult to find and we had to pile into a crowded shuttle bus which took us to the extremely crowded venue. I think it took us close to 4 hours to actually get to the venue. It might just be that I'm used to living in the small and under-crowded town of Martigny that made me think that it was very crowded but dodging people and squeezing through small, packed spaces wasn't that fun. The cars were great but unfortunately the crowds and prices turned me off from going again. Generally speaking when it comes to going places in Switzerland there is always a fairly hefty fee that goes with it but the motor show at 16CHF was quite reasonable. The fact that it took you forever to get from one place to the next due to crowds was frustrating and it was difficult to get a good look at the popular cars. Having said that, it did boast a rather nice collection of cars that you would never see at the Brisbane motor show.

It was a novelty to finally see the cars that they talk about on "Top Gear" in all of their shiny, glitzy reality. I used to go to the Brisbane motor show with my Dad, brothers and grandfather so it was nice to think back on those times as I admired the cars at this show.

There were some conventional cars, very quirky cars, interesting concept cars and of course the fancy, fancy ones.
