Taking Poh for a drive up a mountain

For those of you who don't know, we bought our very own set of wheels so we can go on more adventures. Places that trains can't take us. Well we probably could get there by public transport because Switzerland has a very comprehensive transport system but buses to mountain villages aren't all that regular and well, we wanted freedom to travel whenever we want. Introducing Poh! Our little, blue Fiat Panda.

She's small, cute, lovable and kinda slow but she gets us where we need to go. She's not too shabby to drive up the giant mountains that surround us which is all we need in a car. As I've probably mentioned a fair few times on here that Europe shuts down on Sundays, we're very glad that we have a car so we can take leisurely Sunday drives and spontaneous picnics.

The Sunday before last, we took our little Poh to Pfyn/Finges forest so we could bask in the lovely sun and have a quiet little picnic under a tree. Whilst walking through the forest Roy spotted a huge cluster of satellite dishes on the side of a mountain that he wanted to drive up to and have a look. It didn't take us long to work out how to get to them and before too long we were there admiring the spectacular view of the wonderful snow-capped Alps.

It's so great to have the freedom to go where ever we want, when we want and not have to rely on train timetables (even though they are extremely reliable). Poh, I think this is the start of a wonderful friendship!
