Getting the trekking gang back together.

In October 2009, six awesome people got together for an epic trip to Nepal and India. We made it through five weeks of pretty much living in each others pockets and didn't end the trip hating each other. In fact, as soon as we got back to Australia the very next day we met up again because we had gotten so used to being around each other. 14 months later we reunited for a holiday at pretty much the extreme opposite of our previous adventure. We spent a week together in a rather fancy ski chalet in the French Alps. Getting there was an adventure in itself. Four out of the six were arriving by car from the Netherlands with a boot (and roof box) full of Speculoos, stroopwafels and bucket-loads of wine so our expert vin chaud maker could do his thing. Roy and I caught the ever-so-trusty Swiss train through the mountains with three bags, a pair of ski's (+boots and poles) and two plastic sleds ready for a fun-packed week in the snow.

Since our chalet was a bit of a drive from the train station we had to wait for a ride from our friends with the car so we could get our mountain of stuff to the chalet. What better way to pass a couple of hours away then to make a beautiful snowlady? Roy has become a bit of an expert when it comes to snowperson making. His technique is quite similar to that of Edward Scissorhands (minus the scissors for hands).

She was a magnificent snowlady indeed!

More of this adventure to come!
